THE HUNGER

The librarian at my school gave me the Hunger Games by Susan Collins to read. I think it's a little advanced to read to sixth graders but it's a humdinger of a dystopian novel. Very visceral and raw in the way it tells it's story. I find myself becoming a bit squeamish when it comes time for the hunger games. It may sound like I don't like it but I am enjoying it immensely.

At least I was.

Brooke has swiped the book from me. Even as I write this she is reading the book. What's worse is she read the ending first, so she has stolen this engrossing story, to which she already knows the end, and I am left wondering what will happen next.

I think I'm going to hide her Oprah Magazines until she gives me the book back.
